Together with Love as One Ummah
At Ummah Heart, knowledge isn’t simply taught — it’s nurtured. Rooted in the traditions of Islamic scholarship and wrapped in compassion, we create a space where sisters grow spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually — one lesson, one reflection, one connection at a time.
Islam is such a religion that every ruling, advice or guidance is persuaded with the reasoning of its most basic nature.
Ummah Heart strives to deal with the matters of deen and knowledge in its most basic forms. If we can begin to understand our religion in its simplest form, imagine the compounded understanding we can have of the more complex ideas.

📖 Kitaabs We Use
Our learning materials include:
🤝 Interactive Learning
Each lesson is designed to encourage discussion and active participation. We believe every sister walks her own path and faces her own journey — and sometimes, a single word spoken in passing can plant a seed of light in another heart.
🧠 The Role of Psychology in Faith-Based Learning
Ummah Heart is strengthened by Apa Zaahira’s academic and practical background in Psychology. With an Honours degree and experience as a counsellor at Islamic Careline, she brings unique insight into the human experience — allowing sisters to discover their Creator while learning more about themselves.
Ummah Heart began as a heartfelt dream of Ustaadhah Zaahira — a dream to establish a space where Deen could be taught with sincerity, compassion, and purpose. With a deep-rooted passion for teaching and a firm belief in the responsibility of spreading knowledge, she saw it as a duty to use her strengths in the path of Allah and in service of Dawah.
Inspired by the words of Yahya ibn Mu’adh Ar-Razi (rahimahullah), “He who knows himself, knows his Lord,” Ummah Heart strives to help every sister develop a deeper understanding of herself and her purpose in this fleeting world — and in doing so, begin to truly appreciate the majesty of her Creator.
Ummah Heart envisions a future that extends far beyond Gauteng. With Allah’s permission and grace, we aspire to grow into an international platform — offering hifdh classes, skills workshops, and creative programs that nurture both the heart and the mind. Our goal is to provide a holistic, life-enriching experience that empowers sisters through sacred knowledge, personal growth, and meaningful connection.
